Source: Goat

Quantity/unit size: 800 µg

Description: Goat polyclonal to RPS6. Ribosomal protein S6 is a component of the 40S ribosomal subunit and is therefore involved in regulating translation – ribosome marker. Studies have also shown to be involved in cell proliferation, regulation of cell size and glucose homeostasis. It is the major substrate of protein kinases in the ribosome, with subsets of five C-terminal serine residues phosphorylated by different protein kinases.

Alternative names: RPS6 ribosomal protein S6, S6, 40S ribosomal protein S6, phosphoprotein NP33 antibody.

Form: Polyclonal antibody supplied as a 200 µl (4 mg/ml) aliquot in PBS, 20% glycerol and 0.05% sodium azide. This antibody is epitope-affinity purified from goat antiserum.

Immunogen: Recombinant peptide derived from within residues 190 aa to the C-terminus of human RPS6 produced in E. coli.

Specificity: Detects a band of approximately 30 kDa by Western blot in the following whole cell lysates: MDCK, AtT20, Jurkat, 3T3.

Reactivity: Reacts against human, rat, mouse, canine and monkey proteins.

Usage: Western blot                        1:500-1:2,000
Immunofluorescence                           1:25-1:250
Immunohistochemistry (paraffin)               ND
Immunohistochemistry (frozen)                 ND
