Source: Goat
Quantity/unit size: 300 µg
Description: Goat polyclonal antibody to PTK2. Protein Tyrosine kinase 2 is a member of the FAK subfamily of protein tyrosine kinases but lacks significant sequence similarity to kinases from other subfamilies. This cytoplasmic kinase is found in the focal adhesions that form between cells growing in the presence of extracellular matrix. This protein may have an important role in early steps in cell growth and intracellular signal transduction pathways.
Alternative names: FAK1, FADK, FAK, FRNK, PPP1R71, p125FAK, pp125FAK, protein tyrosine kinase 2 antibody.
Form: Polyclonal antibody supplied as a 100 µl (3 mg/ml) aliquot in PBS, 20% glycerol and 0.05% sodium azide. This antibody is epitope-affinity purified from goat antiserum.
Immunogen: Recombinant peptide derived from within residues 690 aa to the C-terminus of human PTK2 produced in E. coli.
Specificity: Detects endogenous levels of PTK2 by Western blot.
Reactivity: Reacts against human, rat, mouse, canine and monkey proteins.
