Caveolin-1 Polyclonal Antibody

Catalog No.:AB0055-200

Price / Unit: EUR 320.00

Source: Goat

Quantity/unit size: 400 µg

Description: Goat polyclonal to Caveolin-1 – caveolae marker. This scaffolding protein is the main component of the caveolae plasma membranes found in most cell types. The protein links integrin subunits to the tyrosine kinase FYN, an initiating step in coupling integrins to the Ras-ERK pathway and promoting cell cycle progression.

Alternative names: CAV1, caveolin, caveolae protein 1, cell growth-inhibiting protein 32 antibody.

Form: Polyclonal antibody supplied as a 200 µl (2 mg/ml) aliquot in PBS, 20% glycerol and 0.05% sodium azide. This antibody is epitope-affinity purified from goat antiserum.

Immunogen: Recombinant peptide derived from within residues 100 aa to the N-terminus of human CAV1 produced in E. coli.

Specificity: Detects a band of approximately 25 kDa by Western blot in the following cell lysate: hCat, MDCK and 3T3.

Reactivity: Reacts against human, canine and mouse proteins.

Usage: Western blot                              1:500-1:2,000
Immunofluorescence                                1:25-1:250
Immunohistochemistry (parafin)             1:200-1:1,000
Immunohistochemistry (frozen)              1:200-1:1,000
